• Dimensions: 9.17 × 7.56 × 6.77 inches (L × W × H)

Purrvana™ combines triple filtration with UV-C sterilisation to keep circulating water cleaner and fresher throughout the day.

The filtration system includes:

Activated carbon to reduce chlorine, unpleasant tastes and odours.

Ion-exchange resin to help capture certain dissolved metals and impurities.

A pre-filter sponge to trap hair, food particles, debris and sediment.

The built-in UV-C light provides an additional layer of protection by helping reduce bacteria in the circulating water before it returns to the drinking area.

Because the water is continuously circulated, filtered and treated, it stays fresher between refills. For the best performance, replace the filter approximately every two weeks.

No. Purrvana has a simple, removable design without the awkward petals, tight corners and hidden grooves found in many plastic fountains, preventing buildup of harmful slime and mould. The stainless-steel drinking surface can be quickly removed and put in a dishwasher, while the pump and filter compartment are accessible for deeper cleaning.

Cats are naturally drawn to moving water because, in the wild, running water was usually fresher and safer than still water. That instinct is still deeply wired into cats, making them far more likely to drink from a flowing fountain than a still bowl.

Of course! If you don't see the results you wished for, you can return the product within 30 days from when you receive it for a full refund. No questions asked.

KIDNEY & URINARY HEALTH INSIGHT

Why Hydration Matters for Kidneys & UTIs

Cats are naturally poor drinkers, which is why many owners worry about kidney and urinary problems, especially as they get older.

Flowing water encourages cats who barely touch their bowl to drink more often

Consistent hydration helps support normal kidney and urinary function

Drinking more water helps support a healthier urinary environment, and reduces the risk of painful UTIs (and vet bills).

I wasted money on three plastic fountains that my two girls barely touched, and cleaning all the slimy little parts was a nightmare.

They both started using this one within a few days, and now I catch them drinking all the time.

My vet always stressed how important drinking more is for their kidneys, so this has been a huge relief.

Water fountain saved us from more UTI and stones. We had a bowl but my cats would slap the water to make it move and it was warping the flooring. Switched to a fountain and they love it. No more smacking the water.

A fountain was the only way I got my cats to stop drinking from the toilet after one of them actually fell in. And no, I wasn’t going to put the seat down if that was the only place they would drink from. It also means I can add a dental additive.

Of course you can’t guarantee they’ll drink out of it — one of mine loves it, the other doesn’t. As a vet tech I’ll still ask you to give it a try. Cats get more prone to kidney issues as they get older and better hydration really helps.

Research shows cats often don’t hydrate enough, and fountains can be a really effective way to increase how much they drink. They extended the life of my cat with kidney disease, and I honestly believe they helped spare my younger cat from the same problems.

Mine loves to play in it. Whether or not it matters to his health, it’s great enrichment. He does prefer drinking from it too.

My issue with most cat fountains is how time consuming they are to take apart and clean. If you don’t do it every few days the inside gets disgusting.

That’s been the opposite with our Purrvana. Most of it goes straight in the dishwasher and the UV + filter means it doesn’t get that slimy buildup as fast. Takes a couple of minutes.

Not 100% certain but my cat had a bacterial infection last summer that put him in the ER for a week. When I finally took the filter apart it was filthy.

I bet you were using a plastic one. Stainless with UV sterilisation doesn’t seem to get the same slimy buildup in our experience.

We use our Purrvana stainless steel fountain on motion sensor mode. Our kittens think it’s a toy and one drinks straight from the spout. They’re on mostly wet and raw food so we’re not as worried about hydration, but they still use the Purrvana all the time.

They really do help, especially with cats that have bladder or kidney issues. Keeping them drinking can also help stop those problems from becoming chronic.

Had ours over two years and it’s still going. Filters last ages and it hasn’t broken. Costs very little to keep running.
